Bill Amatneek, a life-long string bassist in the acoustic music movement, has concertized with Peter, Paul & Mary, played bluegrass with Jerry Garcia, and accompanied Bill Monroe, the father of bluegrass music. His book, Acoustic Stories: Pickin' for the Prez, won a silver book of the year award in Performing Arts & Music from Foreword Reviews.
