​Meagan Day is a freelance writer who focuses on politics, social movements, labor, law and history. Her book Maximum Sunlight, a journalistic portrait of a remote town in Nevada's Great Basin, is available from E.M. Wolfman and will be excerpted in the Best American Nonrequired Reading, 2017.

She was a Ben Bagdikian editorial fellow at Mother Jones, and is an at-large editor at Full Stop. she's a former staff writer for Timeline, and her work has also appeared in Jacobin, In These Times, The Week, n+1, The New Inquiry, The ​Believer, The Towner, The Morning News, SFMoma's Open Space, Salon and elsewhere. She has worked at Aeon Magazine, McSweeney's and Time out Istanbul, and interned at Granta Magazine.
